Garrison Window Cleaning – Business Card Design Southend
Business card design is something I love to do. Coming up with an idea that grabs someone is important, but most important is a design that works for your target audience. Speaking with a client and finding out about the company they are starting or already have going is vital. Understanding the type of customers they need to appeal to and hitting them with the correct images, fonts and logos that appeal is necessary to drive a message.
This week with our business card design Southend client Robert Weeden, the brief was fairly simple. He is about to start a new window cleaning round in his home town area of The Shoebury Garrison in Southend-on-Sea. The customers will vary in age but as this is a middle to upper class residential area of Southend, we chose to use an image of the Shoebury Garrison clocktower, then, with photoshop was converted into what looks like an old painting. We hope it will appeal to the residents of the Garrison as they can relate to the iconic image.

Logo Design & Inspiration by Aaron Draplin
Check out this amazing logo design video by a great talent, Aaron Draplin. I watched this video not long before I did these business cards. His ideas and passion had a big impact!
One of latest graphic design flyer works for a new client to 3 Cheers Media. This project was commissioned by an NHS student who is training to become a nurse. The brief was pretty simple really;
‘I would like the diabetes information on an A5 flyer; you are at risk on one side, the other side you can reduce your risk by…I was thinking of doing the increasing physical activity, maintaining a healthy weight and making healthy food choices in a circle with wedges with a picture behind if that makes sense’.
Once all the text was supplied, all we had to do was come up with the flyer design, brief the client then create it.
She was so happy with the final results and I got a lovely message thanking us;
Thank you so much Matt, I love the design and the price is absolutely great. My presentation was today!!! It went really well. Thank you.
This week I worked with a regular client, the Giving Dreams Charity Foundation. They are having a charity gala at the Boatyard restaurant, Leigh-on-Sea. 3 Cheers Media designed a flyer for the event. We went for a 1920’s ‘Great Gatsby’ style design and our client loved it;
“Matt at 3 Cheers Media has done an amazing job producing a fabulous flyer with a really quick turnaround. I can’t recommend Matt and the company enough!”
The Giving Dreams Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to helping children who are suffering from a life-threatening or terminal illness by granting them their dreams and wishes. They found us via a Google search looking for a Southend graphic design company who would fit in with their budget for a charity flyer design. We now have a good working relationship and help design flyers and posters for up and coming events. This design was for a Tottenham Hotspur Charity Football Match, held at Southend Rugby Club.
