Our first of hopefully many at the beautiful country pub set in the heart of the North Essex Countryside; The Compasses at Pattiswick. This is just the place for a relaxed wedding in a idilic setting, somewhere you can create a magical day with personal touches and this wedding certainly had many. Being the first wedding I have filmed at The Compasses I got to the venue nice and early to get a feel for the venue. Set amongst some beautiful crop fields it was easy to capture the grounds for a build up to the day. Heather and her family had put so much effort into creating a truly personal wedding. Lawn games all homemade, chalkboard signs, confetti cones and old school games to play inside, everything had been made with so much care and attention to detail.

As the groomsmen and guests the festivities begun with drinks and wedding lawn games before heading into the ceremony room. Sam looked very cheerful waiting for his bride and as she entered the room lit up. After the heartfelt vows the celebrations really begun with one of the best confetti line ups I have ever seen.

This was followed shortly by the wedding breakfast and some great speeches now ready for Heather and Sam on the full length video. Into the evening took us to the ice cream van where Heather and Sam served up the cold stuff, even I managed to get a scoop or two… Yum!

With an early evening film shoot taking Heather and Sam into the corn fields with that lovely golden hour light, I managed to get some video of them, perfect for the wedding trailer. This led us into the evening and to party time which was all kicked off with the first dance.

This day certainly had it all, such a chilled happy vibe too. I want to thank the lovely photography couple, Laura and Dan from Eye Shine Wedding Photography who were so great to work with on the day and the brilliant staff at The Compasses at Pattiswick who kept me fed and watered throughout.
